Avoid. Sometimes you don't get what you pay for...We paid almost $1,000 (one semester) for my daughter to take an animation course at Thinnox. We did not know at the time that Thinnox uses software that is outdated (by 5 or 6 years, maybe more) to teach the kids. My daughter's animation course ran for 4 months and in the end she found that she learned more in her high-school class in 3 days using the current version of Flash than she learned at Thinnox for the entire semester. Note: Knowing that she is in grade 11 and had a short time to learn animation before putting together a portfolio for Art College, Thinnox was teaching her on a Macromedia version of Flash. Macromedia sold Flash to Adobe in 2005...10 years ago. Also you need to be careful about payment. Do NOT give them your credit card as Thinnox will AUTOMATICALLY charge you for the next semester even if you decide to opt out, and they refuse to refund or pro-rate the time spent, even if it is just one class out of the whole 4-month semester. My phone calls and emails were often unanswered once they had my money and knew we wanted out. Management avoided speaking with me to try to come to a fair resolution. Regretfully, we ended up paying Thinnox $2,000 for something my daughter could've learned in 3 days.
