Update TV and Stereo... rip-off!!!

NEVER do business with this company Update TV and Stereo EVER!!!! After spending over $50,000 on a Control4 system for our home, the owner, Trevor Wong, attempted to charge us $4,500 for an amplifier that we did not want or even need. We questioned as to why he attempted to charge us $4,500 when the MSRP on the web is only $1,499. You can also find this amp used on ebay for $350. Nevertheless, he had no answer, he just got extremely defensive. When we refused to pay and told him to take the amplifier back, he went back to his office and wiped our entire Control4 System clean. He charged us $13,000 to program the system and now it was completely wiped out. We had to call the police and Control4 head office in Utah in order to get our system back up which we are still trying to do.

Thankfully Control4 head office in Utah has been extremely helpful and takes the stance that it is all about the consumer. They are currently in the process of assisting us to get our system back up and running after their dealer failed to extort us and deleted everything.

Hopefully the police will also take action action Trevor Wong and Update TV and Stereo for extortion and vandalism. Stay away at all costs.
