NUIMAGE COSMETIC LASER CENTER - REGINA, SK

I went to Nu Image in Regina in January 2014. I had a consultation and the technician (her name was Vida, be warned) determined that I was a good candidate for the procedure. I have the light to dark skin that doesn't burn and dark hair under my arms which is considered perfect for laser hair removal. The technician completed my first treatment right then. There was some discomfort, but tolerable in the end. I waited four weeks before my next treatment (recommended). I was in major discomfort during the second treatment, she chose to turn down the machine after the left underarm due to the pain. As I was paying there were tears streaming down my face from the pain so Vida insisted I take some ice packs. Within two hours I had major burn marks in the rectangular shape of the laser and I had to keep ice packs on the burns 24/7. I did not sleep the first night because I was in so much pain I had to constantly rotate my ice packs. I had to keep ice packs on at all hours for three days before I could switch to using them periodically. When I sent pictures and emails to the management I received a less then satisfactory reply. I was told to go to the doctor and I did not receive a refund for the $100 treatment. I was also told that I am not to worry because this was completely normal, if this pain was normal, I should have been warned. I was treated by a MD and a laser technician at a different spa in my hometown. As I write this, almost 5 months later, I still have many rectangular dark scars on my underarms.
