HILLTOP BRIDAL - BARRIE, ON

I didn't have the greatest experience with this Bridal Shop. There were ALOT of hidden fees that they would only tell me about once I was paying. One of my bridesmaids didn't have any alterations done but she was told that they could easily adjust the straps in case she wanted them for the wedding. When we asked the consultant, we were told that there was no charge for straps. That is, until I went to pick up our dresses a week or so later and was promptly given a $20 invoice and asked to pay for it before I took the dress home. One of my bridesmaids ended up having to pay more than double for her dress even though they quoted her less than $100 for alterations, etc. To make matters worse, the dress didn't even fit when she finally got it and it was the night before the wedding and they were closed on my wedding day so there wasn't even anything else she could do. Less than one week before my wedding - even though I had been for my first alteration nearly 3 weeks before that, I started to get worried that my dress would be done in time. I called and they didn't even have me booked in for a fitting and made it appear as though I should have called for one. Really? Because the consultant told me that the seamstress would be in touch with me shortly to book an appointment. After all of that I contacted them 2 days before my wedding because although the seamstress told me that the bridal shop would be in touch with me within the next day or two, I still hadn't received a phone call. Over the phone, the consultant told me that she couldn't find my dress. What? It's kind of important that I have it... After almost a full work day, she called me back and said that the seamstress still had it but would be bringing it back that night. Okay... I'll just re-arrange my plans to come pick up my dress since I don't have that many other options... Once I FINALLY got my dress, it seemed like it was okay and I was just relieved to finally move on. Except my dress didn't quite fit for the wedding and was a loose. I also paid $20 for alterations to my straps which was a HUGE waste of money since the straps didn't even fit and wouldn't stay up.
I would never recommend that a bride consider going to Hilltop Bridal because I wouldn't take a chance on such an important day in your life.
I was quite disapointed and if I could do things differently, I would in a heartbeat.
